turducken 2.0
11.13.05

Here are some photos from this year's turducken! Ryan and I made one last year here at WPI and it was a big hit, so we decided to make this year's even bigger and badder. Mike and Ryan came to my apartment in Worcester and the three of us bought a 22 pound turkey, 5.5 lb duck, and 5 lb chicken, de-boned them, and filled all the layers with pork and cornbread stuffings (estimated total weight: 30 pounds). We also had 15 pounds of mashed potatoes, roasted squash, cranberry sauce, gravy, bread, wine, and six pumpkin and apple pies. It took us most of Saturday to prepare, most of Sunday to cook, and most of Sunday night to eat, and fed 20 people with plenty of leftovers. I hope Thanksgiving finds you well.
